Starting as a handyman selling painting, and repair services door to door, Alvin has grown his entrepreneurial skills into a $225,000,000 empire. Alvin’s rags-to-riches success story is one of hard work, faith, and perseverance.

Hi, I’m Alvin “Hope” Johnson.

Alvin Hope Johnson is the CEO of Multi-Family Monopoly (MFM), an education platform for real estate investors interested in the process of Multi-Family Development and Ownership. Alvin is also President of Hope Housing Foundation (HHF). HHF, which is headquartered in McKinney, Texas, was incorporated as a 501(c) (3) in 1998. HHF has a business model that positions itself as one of the country’s most effective, nonprofit affordable, workforce housing organizations. With a little over 1,300 affordable housing units and growing, the Foundation is in the process of building an additional 850 high-performance, near net-zero, eco-friendly units for 2023 between two new Multi-Family housing developments for the workforce community located in North Texas. With resources from the Institutional Community of Lending, HHF is on target to develop 20,000 units of high-performance, near net-zero, eco-friendly workforce housing in 5 years meeting all E.S.G. and LEED Certification compliance metrics.

Before fully investing his time into HHF, Alvin was the Vice-President of Operations for the American Housing Foundation in Amarillo, Texas (AHF), and would also serve as the interim president for 2 years. Amarillo-based AHF successfully grew from two apartment complexes purchased from a local catholic organization in 1989 to one of the largest affordable housing companies in the country providing homes to more than 50,000 families and individuals, while supporting healthy communities. AHF boasted 16,000 units spread across the Southern US. Alvin’s tenure with AHF helped grow the vision of what HHF is and will become.

Alvin takes pride in being an industry leader in service and building strong relationships with his business partners. Through his faith and determination, HHF has become a frontrunner in the sustainable housing community.

As a way of providing affordable renovation to the developments that HHF has purchased, a general contracting firm was born. Empowered Services of Texas is a general contracting firm that handles all HHF’s renovation ventures. Empowered Services is also led by Alvin, who is a licensed General Contractor in the State of Louisiana.
